Join the staff of the dynamic Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC). We are a nonprofit energy services organization that promotes energy efficiency and renewable energy, including the delivery of Vermont's statewide energy efficiency utility - Efficiency Vermont.

We're looking for energetic, enthusiastic individuals with a commitment to reducing the monetary and environmental cost of energy use to join our great team.  All of our positions require exemplary written and oral communication skills, including superior proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities, and proven ability to be organized, detail oriented and accurate.

Location

Burlington is a beautiful college town on the shore of Lake Champlain (our offices overlook the lake and the Adirondack Mountains), just 30 minutes from skiing or hiking in the Green Mountains.  As the largest city in Vermont, Burlington also has an unbelievable number of restaurants and cultural events.  Big-city urges are also easily accommodated - Montreal is just a 90-minute drive, and Boston is four hours away by car.

ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL ENERGY SERVICES - Resume Deadline August 18

This position provides project support to Residential Energy Services Project Managers, including project-related administrative support, customer communications, project tracking, field inspections, and management of clearly defined aspects of RES projects.  Conducts basic energy analyses and calculations, does plan take-offs, and processes Home Energy Rating Certificates (HERCs) and Residential Building Energy Standards (RBES) code compliance certifications. 

Requirements:  A two-year technical degree or three years experience in building trades, some knowledge of residential buildings, energy using systems, and energy efficiency preferred or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired. 

 

ENERGY PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST - RESIDENTIAL ENERGY SERVICES  - Resume Deadline August 18

The RES Energy Program Implementation Specialist is responsible for designing, documenting and monitoring business processes and procedures for implementing Existing Homes (EH) and Residential New Construction (RNC) services.  Ensures data and procedural quality and responsiveness to customer needs while increasing the awareness and use of efficient retrofit, remodeling and new construction  practices and energy efficiency measures ion existing and new homes.

Requirements:  A Bachelor's degree or three years experience in energy efficiency implementation planning, including understanding of workflow and data tracking needs and practices, or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.
