Pool Pumps
Energy Saving Tips for Pools
- Put a timer on your pool pump. You can program the timer to run as much or as little as you need. Check your manufacturer’s recommendations on how many hours to run your pool pump per day.
- Switch to LEDs in the pool. LED’s use less energy than traditional incandescent underwater lights. LEDs have a longer life than traditional bulb, which mean less bulb changing and more swimming!
- Clean the trap baskets, filters, and pool walls and floor regularly. Clogged baskets and filters can prevent the water from flowing freely, and will slow your filter down.
