We’ve customized this list to help your small business save money today and for years to come with Efficiency Vermont rebates and prolonged energy savings.
Energy-efficient choices are available for all areas of your business, including LEDs for task, display, and outdoor lighting, bright overhead lighting, and specialty compact fluorescents (CFLs). Efficient lighting also gives off less heat, reducing the need for air conditioning. Occupancy sensors save money by turning off lighting in occasionally used spaces like rest rooms and storage areas.
Your small business may be eligible for Building Performance, a program designed to improve the comprehensive energy efficiency of select small business and residential rental buildings. Efficiency Vermont offers up to $7,500 per building (less than 10,000 sq. ft.) to help pay for energy efficiency improvements completed by a participating Building Performance Institute certified contractor.
Energy-efficient and optimized HVAC equipment and controls can reap significant long-term cost savings, increase equipment reliability, and create a more comfortable place to work.
If your establishment uses walk-in refrigeration or freezers, there may be opportunities for big savings. Existing reach-in and walk-in coolers can be made more efficient by addressing air tightness, motors, compressors, and lighting.
Efficiency Vermont offers financial and technical assistance to help businesses increase the comfort of building occupants and optimize the efficiency of both large and small new construction and major renovation projects.
If your establishment uses residential-style refrigerators in break rooms or other areas, make a switch to ENERGY STAR® qualified refrigerators that can save up to $100 per year on your electric bill. Efficiency Vermont offers $25-50 rebates on ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators.
