Safety Check Rebate for Propane Hot Water and Central Heating Systems
Having a safety check on a newly installed propane hot water or central heating system is both the best way to ensure homeowner safety and is required by Vermont building code. The Propane Gas Association offers a rebate for the post-installation safety check of propane hot water and central heating systems. The safety check rebate on a new propane hot water heater is $300 and $500 on a new propane central heating system.
Typically, the rebate offer only applies to safety checks on new installations of propane water heaters and propane central heating systems as well as the replacement of oil or electric units with propane. However, the Propane Gas Association has extended the rebate to Vermonters affected by Tropical Storm Irene to include replacement of existing propane equipment installations (propane to propane).
The rebate offer is for safety checks completed between July 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011 or until funds are depleted.
For more information and rebate details, call the Propane Gas Association of New England at 888-445-1075.
