After you have signed up for a free flood repair assessment with air sealing, Efficiency Vermont will schedule a trained Building Performance Institute certified contractor or local Weatherization Agency will visit your home or business to perform the assessment.
The site visit will include:
- A moisture assessment to determine if flooded areas have dried sufficiently,
- A blower door test to identify areas of air leakage,
- Air sealing in flood‐affected areas to reduce energy loss, and
- Combustion safety testing to determine carbon monoxide levels.
The contractor will leave you with a list of prioritized recommendations for the next steps for you to continue to rebuild safely and energy efficiently.
Availability for assessments is on a first‐come, first‐served basis.
